L-R Karen wife of Knight of the Month Larry Gremillion and Grand Knight Gary Wolfer |
Larry Gremillion was recognized for his work in the field of technology/communication the past four months. Larry, in response for assistance with communications effort in the absence of Rick Darnell who is going back to school, said he would step up! This was great news for the leadership team, as there are there so many areas of work in technology that are required in a timely manner. Thank you Larry for your commendable job and helping us manage through many challenges of technology such as sending out through email general communications and council meeting meal requests, coordinating ticket sales and table registration for Fun Fest.
Grand Knight Gary Wolfer presenting the 2024 March Family of the Month Award to Mike and Carolyn Nee |
Mike and Carolyn are relative newcomers(2022) to the village and love it here and their church family at SHJ.
They are in awe of even being considered much less being selected as family of the month. Mike and Carolyn both tutor at Mountain Pine Elementary. Mike Tutors math while Carolyn tutors reading. They both serve on the Decorating Team for the church and Mike helps with setups and tear downs for knight's or knight sponsored events. Carolyn is Co-Captain of LOSH Guild 7 and is a substitute Eucharistic Adorer.
Mike and Carolyn are blessed to have their oldest son's family living on the east side of the Village. Spending time with their school aged grandsons is a joy and they are happy to help their working parents when the need arises. They help their grandchildren with their schoolwork and help to guide them toward a faith-based life in the Catholic church.
Mike is also the bass player with the Village band Encore.
Congratulations on you well deserved Family of the Monty Award!!
While Ambrozich was on a cruise (lucky them), a storm came through and had some trees fall on his house during the Ice and Snow Storm. He gave Brother Knight Rick Darnell a call for help!! Rick put the word and several Knights came to his aid moving the wood from his house and on to the Golf Course where the POA was picking up debris. In recognition of their diligence, special awards were given out at the February Council Meeting.

Every year Council 10208 raises funds through the CPID campaign which is a longstanding tradition within the Knights of Columbus, reflecting the organization's commitment to charity and service, particularly towards those who are vulnerable or marginalized in society.
In a heartwarming display of camaraderie and service, the Knights of Columbus recently organized a delightful spaghetti supper, uniting community members for an evening of delicious food and fellowship. This event exemplified the spirit of charity and unity that defines the Knights' mission.
The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the sumptuous spread of spaghetti and meatballs served with generous ladles of rich spaghetti sauce. Accompanied by freshly baked garlic bread and crisp salads, the meal was a testament to the Knights' dedication to providing not only nourishment but also comfort and joy to those in attendance.
Proceeds from the spaghetti supper will go toward supporting the various charitable initiatives championed by the Knights of Columbus. Whether it's providing assistance to local families in need, sponsoring educational programs, or contributing to community development projects, the funds raised will make a meaningful difference in the lives of many. Many thanks to our crew from planning, setup, cooking and cleanup!!
