Jim and Pookie Dixon Receiving the Family of the Month Award from GK Rich Rivera |
Jim and Pookie Dixon is our Family of the Month recipient. Jim and Pookie took the bull by the horns stepping up to the plate when they were needed to plan, coordinate and made sure the Memorial Mass and Dinner was a huge success. I am sure we will be blessed to receive their future endeavors for the Knights.

Bob is very active in the adoration program and is showing his leadership through his own actions displaying all the virtues of a Catholic Gentleman. Council 10208 is blessed to have him.

On October 2, 2019, 130 parishioners and friends of Father Bill Elser gathered to celebrate his 60th Birthday. It was held in the lower hall of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. Fr. Bill has been a Priest for over 33 years and Sacred heart's Priest for the past 10 years.
To celebrate his Birthday, a beautiful Birthday Cake was displayed for all to see (and to taste.
God bless the Parish and all those who helped in making this such a wonderful party especially Parish Live, Cindy Lefler and Cathy Silk for coordinating the festivities. They involved the whole Parish from the Spiritual Bouquet, the reading of the famed Priestly Hands prayer and organizing the Parishioners to bring potluck side dishes and desserts. Johnna Westerman catered the roasted turkey breast and honey baked ham.
The Sacred Heart's Choir sang Maureen Morgan's rendition of the 1959 top song Bobby Darin's, "Mack the Knife" with the new title "Father Bill." Lynne Border played it and all sang it just like Bobby Darin's version including the 'shout out' at the end of the song, "Look out for that birthday guy!"

The Silver Rose in front of the Alter |
On Wednesday October 30, the Knights of Columbus, Council 10208, sponsored the Silver Rose program to honor Our Lady of Guadalupe. The devotion is part of the KofC Silver Rose program and honors Our Lady as the patroness of the Americas and affirms the sanctity of all human life. The Silver Rose is carried by Knights from city to city, district to district, and council to council from Canada to the Cathedral in Mexico City. The Silver Rose will arrive in Mexico City on the Feast Day of the Lady of Guadalupe. The rose symbolizes one of the roses that fell from Juan Diego’s cloak when he delivered the Virgin’s message to his Bishop on December 12, 1531. The program included a Rosary, Mass, and additional Prayers.
