June 2018 Family of the Month - Michael and Anne Downes |
By the way, Village Movers has helped us on similar projects many times over the years. Michael became a Knight in 1995 and has served as a council officer. Michael and Anne are both members of the Hot Springs Village Chamber of Commerce and the Community Foundation. Anne is a registered nurse and a member of our Perpetual Adoration Team.
Please join us in congratulating our Family of the Month!
June 2018 Knight of the Month - Lanny Mabus |
He is a member of the Woodworkers Club and coordinates their bookcase program. In three local schools, children who read above their grade level are rewarded with a hand-made bookcase, complete with a personalized name plate. Lanny and his guys have built 53 of these bookcases already this year! His latest project for the church is the beautiful shelf on the front of the ambo on the altar. When you’re enjoying your burger tomorrow at our parish picnic, it will have been cooked on our new 8-burner grille that was assembled by Mike Frantz and, you guessed it, Lanny Mabus.
On behalf of the Council, Lanny, thank you and please accept our recognition as Knight of the Month.
The Knights of Columbus Council 10208 supported another successful Arkansas Special Olympics program at Hendrix College in Searcy, AR, over the Memorial Day weekend. Our Council brothers and family members had a very rewarding experience doing our part to make the overall program a success. The 4th Degree started our support with Sir Knights in regalia participating in the opening ceremonies. Council 10208 then set up and operated the famous Olympic Village on Friday and Saturday. This year there was lots of help with some brother Knights volunteering for the first time. The clock has begun for SOAR 2019!!

April 2018 Knight of the Month - Don Ritter |
Several annual events require receptions afterwards, and Don has prepared, or purchased, set up and served us and our parishioners extremely well. He has logged in many miles of driving to make everything work out well. Don’s attention to detail, exacting planning, joyful demeanor, and accommodating attitude are well appreciated. Church reports to the Program Director are al Don you have our respect and gratitude for all you do.
Congratulations to our Council’s Knight of the Month for April.
Brother Knights-Congratulations for the Arkansas KofC State recognition for dedication, hard work, and committment over the last fraternal year.
