As a certified health care ethicist, he gives talks on making medical decisions, end-of-life decision making, and advance medical directives.  John volunteers with Meals on Wheels, is one of the collection volunteers for CPID and with his wife has volunteered to call Bingo at Good Sam's.

John is an ex-officio member of the Pastoral and the Finance Councils, and a member of the Liturgical and the Education Commissions.  He is responsible for training new lectors and leads funeral vigil services in addition to his other diaconate duties.

Nancy joined the St. Monica Guild as soon as they arrived in the Village and is Co-Chair of the Guild.  With a long background in Liturgical Art and Environment, she has volunteered to help with this sub-committee of the Liturgical Commission here at Sacred Heart.  Last year Nancy volunteered at the Treasure Sale and was put to work throughout that event.  With John she has volunteered to call Bingo at Good Sam's and with John takes communion to a homebound parishioner.
