Family of the Month, Debbie and Dwayne Garrett, May 2025
Brother Knight Dwayne and Debbie Garrett are staunch and model members of our Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish and Community.
Brother Dwayne and Debbie both chair the Parish Welcome Committee and served on the National Eucharistic Revival Committee.
Dwayne and Debbie are both Eucharistic Adores.
Debbie Garrett became a member of the Ladies of Sacred Heart (LOSH) and has served in many very valuable and time-consuming positions. She has been a Guild Captain, Vice President and is currently our Sacred Heart of Jesus LOSH President.
Debbie is a member of the Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Team. As such, she coordinates the morning adoration schedule and is a member of the National Eucharistic Sodality of the Blessed Sacrament. And in her very limited spare time, Debbie sends "Sunshine Cards" to our Parish Homebound.
Brother Dwayne is a 3rd and 4th Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus. As such, he is involved in a number of charity fundraising activities. They are: He raises funds for the Annual St. John's Charity Gould Tournament, the March for Life Campaign, Campaign for People with Intellectual Disabilities, the Arkansas Special Olympics and the Sacred Heart of Jesus Homebound Ministry. His success in these charitable endeavors is nothing short of amazing.
As Debbie, in Dwayne's very limited spare time, he has been essential as a Jackson House Volunteer for the past 5 years and now serves on their Board of Directors.
Dwayne and Debbie Garrett are exceptional in their individual right, and as a Team, superior in every way. The standards they set are superb. Brother Dwayne and Debbie Garrett are two of those people you want to see awarded the coveted Family of the Month distinction. It is my privilege to award Dwayne and Debbie this honor for May 2025.
