The Fourth Degree is the highest degree-level of the Knights of Columbus and it is devoted to the virtue of Patriotism. Our assembly now has almost 200 members and we conduct many patriotic events throughout the fraternal year. The Supreme Council instituted the 4th Degree in the year 1900 and we look forward to celebrating the 125th anniversary in 2025!

Membership Committeemen Bob Ward (left) and Ed Doyle stand proudly next to our council's new recruiting poster, a distinguished award presented to Council 10208 by the Supreme Council of the Knights of Columbus. This poster symbolizes our council's outstanding achievement in successfully recruiting new members during the 2023/2024 fraternal year. The award recognizes the hard work, dedication, and strategic efforts of our membership committee.
The poster, prominently displayed, serves as a testament to the collective efforts of the membership team. Other key members who played a crucial role in this accomplishment include Gary Christoff, Ken Gordon, Reb Henry, and the late Bill Nosek. Each of these individuals contributed significantly to the recruitment drive, ensuring that our council not only met but exceeded its goals.
The success of this initiative highlights the vibrant and growing community of the Knights of Columbus. It reflects our commitment to the core values of charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism, attracting like-minded individuals dedicated to serving their community and faith. The poster not only celebrates past achievements but also inspires current and future members to continue the legacy of growth and service.
The 2024 Summer Olympic Summer Games were held from May 23 to May 25 in Searcy, AR. A team of 34 volunteers set up and manned the KofC Olympic Village in Searcy Arkansas. The Olympic Village is a group of tent-booths where the kids come for games and crafts between their athletic events. Our volunteers included 18 KofC men and 15 women who dedicated their time and talents to brighten the day for the nearly 2000 very special children who participated in the events. State Chaplain Father Patrick Boland said Mass on Friday evening followed by a group dinner for the volunteers, which was also attended by Special Olympics Arkansas CEO Terri Weir. Thanks to the experience and energy of the volunteers, the event ran smoothly from the set-up on Thursday to working the crafts and games on Friday and Saturday to the take-down on Saturday afternoon.

On Saturday, April 14, Assembly 2316 of Hot Springs Village, exemplified 18 new Sir Knights.
Arkansas Master Ken Bohaty Assembly 2316 witnessed a significant event on Saturday, April 13th, 2024, as eighteen new Sir Knights were welcomed into the esteemed Fourth Degree. The assembly, based in Hot Springs Village, celebrated this momentous occasion with pride and honor, further strengthening the legacy of the Knights of Columbus.
The Fourth Degree Knights, also known as the Patriotic Degree, represent the highest degree within the Knights of Columbus organization. They embody principles of patriotism, loyalty, and service, and their exemplification ceremonies are steeped in tradition and honor. In this article, we delve into the significance of the Fourth Degree Knights and their commitment to faith, family, community, and country.
