2.01

 Whereas: The Arkansas Knights of Columbus whole heartily support the work of the                       

Catholic Diocese of Little Rock, and

Whereas: Funds derived from the Bishop McDonald-Charity Golf Classic held in prior years helped support  Catholic Charities such as the Catholic Adoption Services, Project Rachel-Post Abortion Ministry, and

Whereas: The Arkansas Knights of Columbus itself can derive great benefits from working with the Bishop in the public view.

Therefore Be it Resolved: The Arkansas State Council support and co-sponsor the Bishop McDonald-Charity Golf Classic with a donation of Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($2500.00) from the Special Fund and also with the support from the State and Local Councils.

2.02

Whereas: The Arkansas Catholic is the official publication of our Most Reverend Bishop and the Catholic Diocese of Little Rock, and

Whereas: The Arkansas Knights are in full support of the  “ Arkansas Catholic “ .

Therefore Be it Resolved:  The Arkansas State Council of the Knights of Columbus shall donate and amount, not to exceed, Five Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($5,500.00) from the Special Fund. 

2.05

Whereas: The Arkansas Knights of Columbus whole heartily support the work of the Vocations Ministry, Diocese of Little Rock.

Therefore Be it Resolved: The Arkansas State Council will support the Vocations Ministry with a donation of Two Thousand dollars ($2000.00) from our Special Fund. (submitted by State Officers)

2.06

Whereas: The Diocese of Little Rock is striving to keep the Catholic Community in Arkansas advised of Catholic Activities, News, and Information on a timely basis via the Diocese of Little Rock Web Site. www.dolr.org

Whereas;  The Arkansas Knights of Columbus State Council enjoys a remarkable relationship with the Bishop and Diocesan Staff.

Therefore Be it Resolved: The Arkansas State Council donates Two Thousand Dollars ($2000.00) from the Special Fund to express its support of the Diocese of Little Rock Web site which provides information for the public regarding Catholic Activities and News events in Arkansas.

3.09

Whereas: The Knights of Columbus in Arkansas are leaders if the Church and,

Whereas; We champion the cause of vocations and support our Priests and,

Whereas: It Costs over $32,000.00 a year to educate each of our Seminarians and,

Whereas: Many of our Seminarians can not afford the cost of a proper suit of clothes to provide professional appearance.

Therefore Be it Resolved: That the State Council provide Fifteen Hundred Dollars from the Special Fund each year to the Diocese of Little Rock Vocations Director for purpose of professionally clothing and or preparing our Seminarians for the Priesthood.

3.10

Whereas: The Hispanic Community is the fastest growing Catholic Ethnic group in Arkansas.

Whereas: The Arkansas Knights of Columbus supports the development of the Hispanic Community.

Therefore Be it Resolved: The Arkansas State Council donates Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) from the Special Fund to the Hispanic Encounter Event.

3.11

Whereas: The Arkansas State Council will support the work of the Respect Life Office of the Diocese of Little Rock.

Therefore Be it Resolved: That the Arkansas State Council will support the Respect Life Office with a donation of Fifteen Hundred Dollars ($1500.00) from the Special Fund.
