During this past period John has held the positions of trustee, was chairman of Keep Christ in Christmas, coordinates the Food for Seniors program (Rice Depot), heads the Blood Drive Program, and serves as State Director for the Campaign for People with Intellectual Disabilities which is the key money maker for the Knights in general.
His Church involvement includes mass server, lector, Eucharistic minister, member of the Social Justice and Charitable Outreach Commission, director of the Disaster Response Team, and chair of the Treasure Sale. He also helps transport food to Jackson House following weekend collections.
As Grand Knight for the 2009-2010 period, John set the bar for those who follow. He, along with web developer Mike Miller, set up and continue to maintain an excellent web site. Also during his tenure, he added four new ongoing programs which played a large part in the Council being named Large Council of the Year for Arkansas for 2011-2012.
