Roger and Marcia moved to the Village from Denton, Texas nearly 14 years ago.  They have been married for 53 years, and have 8 children and 14 grandchildren living in the Dallas area.

In 1966 Roger and Marcia moved to Mexico with their family to be lay missionaries and help the poor.  They lived there 9 years. Roger worked for 30 years providing jobs for the poor in Mexico through import-export companies that he started and managed both in Mexico and in Texas.

Knight in January, 1954 when he joined Council 782 in Fargo, North Dakota.  He became a member of this council in May of 2009 and has already recruited a new member. He was on the Ham Sales fundraiser team this past fall.  Roger leads the Men’s Club 30-minute Prayer Service before each meeting, and he and Marcia lead a Friday morning prayer group.

Roger’s past Village community activities include being on the Board of Directors of the Village Concert Association, and the Symphony Guild.  He has volunteered at the Men’s Samaritan Mission in Hot Springs.

Marcia is a cantor at weekday Mass, a CCD teacher,  and a leader of a women’s study group.   Village activities for Marcia include performing in several musical productions with the Village Players and singing with the Crystal Chimes Chorus.  She also has a quartet that has performed at many Village functions, and she recently sang for the Posada at the Ladies of the Sacred Heart Christmas Party.

Roger and Marcia co-authored a book about their 9-year Mission in Mexico, which can be found in the parish library.
